In this tutorial, you will learn how to create toggle buttons in Flash CS4.

Toggle buttons are very useful for creating user interactivity within a site. Toggle buttons allow for things to be turned on and off or opened and closed. These buttons can really help to save space in small Flash Documents. You could easily have a small button that opens up content that takes up a large space. To hide that the user clicks again and then moves on. There are many uses, try them out and see what they can do. They are relatively simple to create and adapt. Mine is comprised of a button and a movie clip with some animations.

toggle_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, toggleContent);

function toggleContent(event:MouseEvent){
	if(togglewindow.currentFrame == 1){
		togglewindow.gotoAndPlay(2);
	}
	else{
		togglewindow.gotoAndPlay(12);
	}

}
